About Ryan and her Pets

Chevy & Daytona

Ryan Buzard is committed to expertly presenting your showdog by accentuating
his or her best features. She accomplishes this with an enthusiastic and   compassionate  attitude and customizes her techniques to each dog's individual needs.

In addition to showing dogs in the show ring, Ryan is also skilled in preparing dogs for their showing experience. For example, Ryan prepares each dog for the ring by ensuring that it is clean and groomed appropriately for its breed. In doing this, she focuses on all aspects of the dog, including their teeth, coat, nails, and overall condition. In addition, she proactively makes suggestions to owners regarding how to best prepare their dogs for the show ring, and makes sound recommendations concerning the most appropriate type of show lead, collar, and other
equipment.

In addition to professionally presenting show dogs, Ryan has a long-established tenure in handling dogs in a Junior Showmanship capacity, in which the child's dog handling skills are evaluated by a licensed AKC judge. During her career as a Junior, Ryan earned many accolades, including many specialty and all breed Best Junior Handler awards.

Finally, Ryan is an experienced Veterinary Technician at a local animal  clinic, where she has been employed since 1998. In this capacity, Ryan has worked with clients in many ways. For example, she assists the Veterinarian with technical procedures, such as examinations and surgery, and provides clients with answers to questions. Further, she treats all clients and their dogs with respect and ensures that the animals maintain their dignity, even in difficult situations.

Because of the significant amount of time Ryan takes to build a relationship with each showdog she presents, she limits herself to working with only a few dogs at any given time.  This helps to ensure that Ryan establishes the all-important bond between herself and each dog.

When Ryan enters the show ring with a dog that she has evaluated and worked
with, it is an example of the best sort of teamwork--a well-trained dog at one
end of the lead and a dedicated and focused handler on the other end!
